Happy Birthday Caleb!!!

  • You are almost 54 inches tall and weigh 62 lbs.
  • You finished fourth grade and your teacher was Ms. Sale.
  • You made all As and Bs this year, you were chosen as student of the month.
  • You continue to take piano lessons from Mrs. Emily and you are doing great! Daddy says you are officially better than him!
  • We all endured Category 5 Hurricane Michael in October. You were very concerned before the storm that water would get in our house. Daddy told you he was 99% sure there would be no water in our house. He changed it later to 90% sure. Well, a little water did get in our house, but thankfully not much. When we walked in the house for the first time, you went to check and see if the computer was okay. It was and you were happy. You have been very resilient!
  • During the storm we stayed with family in Jacksonville, then with friends in Santa Rosa, and then went to Great Wolf Lodge in Georgia. You were out of school for almost a month after the storm.
  • You prefer to be indoors and love technology. You play online games with friends from school and like to play the Wii as well.
  • Your art was chosen for the school art show this year.
  • You still want to be a weatherman when you grow up. You check the weather every night on Momma’s phone.
  • Your favorite things to do are: read, play games, swim in the pool, play the piano, and spend time with Bethany.
  • You are in cub scouts and are a Webelo.
  • Your birthday party this year was at Rock it Lanes- bowling and arcade games.
  • Your favorite movie is “all the movies”.
  • Your favorite show is Angry Birds.
  • Your favorite foods are spaghetti, french fries, and pizza.
  • You were chosen for the role of "baker" and “salad tongs” in the Summerstock Beauty and the Beast this summer.
  • We went on vacation to New York City and Great-Grandma’s house in Galway, NY for spring break. You loved the One World Trade tower and we visited Chinatown for ice cream. At Great-Grandma’s house there was so much snow and you and Bethany loved sledding down the big hill over and over each day!

We love you so much and are so thankful you are in our family. You bring joy and fun to our family every day. You love to have fun, laugh, and act silly! You are kind and loving and adore your sister! You ask hundreds of questions a day, which we know means you are very curious and we love that you love to learn! Hope this year is a great one!!

It's a Boy!!!!!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Tuesday morning I took Bethany to church for mother's morning out, nervously bought soap and 75% of Valentine's conversaion hearts at Target, and then I went to Panera and got a fruit punch. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. You were chosen to perform at the Bay Education Foundation Arts Alive fundraiser dinner.  You were selected as the pianist for the all county band ...

Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
