A busy June!
Wow- June has been a busy month!! I volunteered at VBS, Tom and I went to child birth classes, we celebrated Father's Day, had a baby shower and I have some friends in town this weekend! It's great because it is keeping me occupied during the hot summer months of this pregnancy.
I don't have the energy to write at length about each event so I'll give you five words for each:
1. VBS- exhausting, loud, messy, coloful, rewarding
2. Childbirth classes: Terrifying, comforting, reality, informational, breathing.
3. Baby shower: Fun, food, friends, gifts, blessing.
4. Father's Day: Family, Food, thankful, anticipation, love.
5. Friend's visiting: Beach, dolphins, talking, silliness, awesome.
Bethany is doing very well. We had a doctor's appointment last week and the medical assistant who took her heartrate was kind enough to show us where Bethany was positioned. She has her little bottom sticking out right by my belly button and her head is down, almost where it should be. So hopefully she'll stay and won't be breech like her momma. The med assistant commented on how Bethany does not like to be pressed on- she just kicks and squirms if you press on her. I don't blame her- she's cramped enough as is!!
Because my blood pressure has been a little high, we now will be going every week until delivery for non stress tests. This is where they measure her movement and heartrate to make sure she is thriving. This past week the Dr. looked at the results of the test and said, "Now that's a beautiful baby!" That's what mom and dad like to hear!!! We will have an ultrasound in addition to the non stress test next week when we go- I can't wait to see her again!!
Next week we head to Tallahassee for the weekend and will have our last baby shower. We're excited to see our friends and church family over there and feel blessed that so many people already love baby Bethany so much.
Today is Bethany's gramma's birthday!! So happy birthday mom/gramma!!
