3 months!

The next three months, phewwweeee, they exhaust me just to think about them. But it's a good exhaustion. A fun exhaustion! Here's what's going on:

  • It's a busy busy time for Tom at work- but we're still running together in the mornings, training for a faster 5k!
  • We're still waiting to hear about a house. If it goes our way, we'll be moving in two months!
  • We are in the midst of major Nicaragua trip planning. Tom will be going in late July, early August as the team leader. I am the administrative planner for the trip.
  • I am working a Chrysalis retreat next weekend.
  • I have a few seminary friends coming to visit in a few weeks! Yahooo!!!
  • We will be making a trip to Lakeland to see friends and family in early July and will attend a wedding while there.
  • Some of my former youth which I now call friends will be visiting us in July.
  • We have tons of birthdays and holidays to celebrate!
  • Bethany will turn 2! 2, can you believe it?!?!
  • We will finish up our adoption training and self-study in prep for our August formal application.
  • And I turn the big 3-0 on August 15th and we formally being the adoption process.
So, yeah.....WOW! So if you see me around town and my shirt's on inside out just laugh and know that, yes, I have indeed gone crazy. Or if I take longer returning a call or email than I should, give me grace. Or, if you ask me to return something I borrowed from you and I tell you it's probably in a box somewhere, go check Goodwill because I probably accidently donated it. Or if you see me running in circles singing "ring around the rosie" with my daughter with a big goofy grin on my face, know that I am having the time of my life!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Tuesday morning I took Bethany to church for mother's morning out, nervously bought soap and 75% of Valentine's conversaion hearts at Target, and then I went to Panera and got a fruit punch. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble.
