Bravo Florida, Bravo!
I received our certified birth certificates two weeks ago from the FL Vital Stats office. But no certified marriage cert. which was ordered at the same time. I gave it another week and then emailed the office to ask about it. I received a quick response that it had been emailed a week ago. Hmmmm....before I could even figure out the best route to handle this I received another email saying that a new copy had been placed in the mail today. Prompt, efficient, helpful. Refreshing! Bravo FL!
Remember how Bethany called me "daddy" for months and months and months? Even though we knew she knew I was "mommy" (proven by asking where is mommy and she could point to me), she continued to call me "daddy". Well now she thinks everything is blue. Well, she doesn't really think that because if you ask her to hand you the red block she will get it right most of the time- same with yellow, green, black, white. But if you say, "Hand me the red block", she hands the red one to you, and then you ask, "What color is the block you just gave me?", she will without fail, exclaim "BLUE!" Stubborn much? Oh, and "What's your name?", "Two". Even though SHE CAN SAY "Bethany"!!!!! The joys of teaching a two year old.
But boy is she precious! She has a smile that can charm anyone. She loves to play dolls and dress up. She likes to dance and sing. She loves Peter Pan- the old Mary Martin play, and if you ask her what she dreamed about she will tell you about how Peter Pan came to her window and she went flying with him. She loves to clean and pretend to cook for us. Ask her to pick a book and she will reply "Cat Cat"- AKA Cat in the Hat. She loves the pool. She likes to get in and out of the car all by herself. She doesn't want to sleep in a girl bed yet- we've tried and she asked to go back in the crib. She likes to color and paint. In preschool they say whenever there is a new experience like playdough, gooey play stuff, washing the baby dolls, she is usually the last one playing with it. Guess that means she's focused- future engineer?
