Happy 6th Birthday Bethany!






Happy Birthday to our sweet girl!!


  • You weigh 43.5 lbs. and you are 43 inches tall
  • You are about to start first grade.
  • You are in the "Gym Bugs" level at gymnastics but are only one star away from moving up to level 3.
  • You started soccer this year on Saturday mornings and your brother is on your team this summer.
  • You love anything pink or purple, Hello Kitty, princesses, legos, baby dolls, and art projects.
  • You love to play outside and you saved up money this year and purchased your own scooter.
  • You love to swim and took swim lessons this summer. You are a little fish and spend more time under water than above. You love to play dolphin in the pool.
  • Your favorite food is pizza even though you take the cheese off because you are allergic to milk. Your favorite foods are spaghetti, ham, chicken, any fruits, salad, green beans, and PBJs. You also love dessert! :)
  • You want to be a Mom, babysitter, and dentist when you grow up.
  • You love to go to church and Awana. You have learned some Scripture and can say most of the books of the Bible. Most importantly, you know God loves you and you love Him. Watching your faith develop this year has been a joy.
  • Your favorite animal is a ladybug.
  • You got a bunk bed this year for your birthday and you love it!
  • You are shy at first but once you warm up you are very friendly and make friends easily.
  • You had a great group of friends in your class this year and you really hope some of them are in your first grade class as well.
  • If you didn't have to wake up to go to school, you'd sleep until 7 or 7:30 but we get you up at 6am for school. You go to sleep by 7:30 and you still like for us to stay with you for 7 minutes- we sing to you and rub your feet or back.
  • Your favorite restaurant is Chick Fil A
  • You do not like to get in trouble so you make sure to follow the rules (especially at school).
  • You are very logical and literal like your Daddy and you enjoy math. 
  • You are becoming a reader and learned a lot of new words in school this year.
  • You are a great big sister and love playing with your brother (most of the time).
You are kind, loving, and a fun little girl! We are so proud of you and it is a joy to have you in our family! Happy birthday sweet girl!!!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Tuesday morning I took Bethany to church for mother's morning out, nervously bought soap and 75% of Valentine's conversaion hearts at Target, and then I went to Panera and got a fruit punch. I set up my laptop, put my phone on the table, and nervously surfed the web until I couldn't handle it anymore. The wait was getting to me. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. You were chosen to perform at the Bay Education Foundation Arts Alive fundraiser dinner.  You were selected as the pianist for the all county band ...

Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
