 Happy 13th Birthday Caleb!


  • You are just shy of 5ft tall. 
  • You finished seventh grade this year and were awarded the Buccaneer Spirit Award for Integrity.
  • You made all As this year and participated in Jr. Beta Club, Pre-Sail, FCA, and Math Counts. 
  • In Junior Beta, your technology team came in first at the state competition. Your team had to create a video highlighting your club activities and your team made it like a news show. It was really funny and creative. You also competed in the individual performing arts competition, You played piano and placed in the top 5 so you got to perform at the finals in front of all the Jr Beta Club teams in the state. It was amazing!



  • You were the only seventh grader on your school's math counts team and on top of that you qualified as an alternate for state with four other members of your team. 
  • You joined the middle school jazz band at school in the spring and have now also joined the high school marching band and are playing keyboard in the pit. 
  • You are still interested in being a meteorologist. 
  • You go to youth group at The Wreck with a lot of friends from school and have really enjoyed it!
  • You and Daddy started volunteering with Hardly Able, our church's wheelchair ramp building ministry. You're learning a lot of new skills, meeting people from our church and community, and making a difference in the world. You also volunteer with our family and friends at the mobile food pantry. 
  •   You continue to love anything technology related- you love Roblox and like playing games online with your friends from school while you all chat together. If we'd let you, you'd pretty much play on the computer all the time. :)
  • You are in your 8th year of piano lessons from Mrs. Emily and you are excelling! You again participated in Student Day where you played prepared pieces, scales, and sight reading, and an aural exam. You also took a music theory test. You received highest honors and an almost perfect score for your prepared pieces. As soon as Student Day was over, you started work on a monster of a piece, Pirates of the Caribbean and did an awesome job playing it at the spring recital after hours and hours of work!


  • Your favorite things to do are: play any type of technology, read, play games, be around your family, stay home, swim, and play piano.
  • You don't like the outdoors, roller coasters, glitter, watermelon, or fireworks.
  • Your birthday party this year was at Rock it Lanes where you bowled and played in the arcade with your friend group from school. You are also taking two friends to Dave and Buster's later this summer to celebrate. 
  • You like to watch youtube videos and Dude Perfect. 
  • Your favorite foods are pizza, chex mix, Utz party mix, spaghetti, and pancakes.
  • Trips and visits- Thanksgiving week we went to Great-grandma's house in New York and got to spend the week with her. In November you went with Daddy and some friends to your first college football game at UF. We spent Christmas here at home with Nana, Granddaddy, and the Lebedevs. Half of us got covid so we couldn't head to Lakeland and Disney like we had planned. In January we headed up to Atlanta to go the Georgia Aquarium (a trip that was delayed from March 2020). It snowed while we were there but you loved the aquarium way more than the snow! Gramma, Grampa, and Uncle George came up at the end of January and we finally got to celebrate Christmas with them. In February we went to Sea World. Spring Break we spent the week at Disney. We went back and stayed with Gramma and Grampa and went to Sea World in June while Daddy and Bethany went to Universal. We also got to see the Lebedevs in Orlando and at Nana and Granddaddy's this summer. 
  • You are so much fun- you have an amazing sense of humor, are quiet at school and loud at home, ask a million questions, are extremely neat and orderly, and are very responsible. You get your homework done with no need for us to remind you and you even make and share test study guides with your friends. You're naturally smart but you also put in a ton of work and studying. If we ask for your help you do it. If we need a laugh, you provide it. We know God has big plans for you and we are praying that you will continue to follow Him and let Him show you where yo go. You're an amazing young man and we're excited to see what's in store for your teenage years!! We love you so very much!

It's a Boy!!!!!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Tuesday morning I took Bethany to church for mother's morning out, nervously bought soap and 75% of Valentine's conversaion hearts at Target, and then I went to Panera and got a fruit punch. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. You were chosen to perform at the Bay Education Foundation Arts Alive fundraiser dinner.  You were selected as the pianist for the all county band ...

Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
