Happy 14th Birthday Caleb!

 Happy 14th Birthday Caleb!

  • You are about 5'2" and still expected to grow a lot more.
  • You finished 8th grade this year which means you're headed to high school!
  • You made all As and were awarded the Buccaneer Spirit Award for Positive Attitude.
  • You participated in the high school marching band (playing keyboard in the pit), junior beta club, FCA, and Pre-Sail. You also played in the middle school jazz band.
  • You continue to be interested in being a meteorologist but have also started having interested in other math focused careers.
  • You go to the youth group at the Wreck but also participate in the small youth group at our new church Abide UMC.
  • You continued to take piano lessons and participated in NWFL Music Teacher's Association Student Day and received high honors. You also auditioned and were accepted as one of 24 students at Florida State University's summer piano institute (a one week camp). Mrs. Emily moved to Georgia the summer :( so you have transitioned to a new teacher, Mrs. Christina and are looking forward to continue to grow as an amazing pianist!
  • You love to play video games and watch TV. You especially like to play video games with friends. You like to play board games and swim.
  • This year you decided to set a goal of being on track in high school so you've been doing some running with Dad in our neighborhood.
  • You had surgery this year to repair a hole in your eardrum. Unfortunately a new hole has opened up and it looks like we have to repeat the surgery sometime in the next year.
  • Your favorite foods are any type of chip, chex mix, pringles, cereal. You like popcorn shrimp, spaghetti, and pizza. You'll eat just about anything though, but not watermelon, you are not a watermelon fan.
  • For Thanksgiving the Lebedevs and FitzGeralds came to town and we all had Thanksgiving dinner at our house and spent time with the family! For Christmas we went to Lakeland and had fun with Gramma, Grampa, and Uncle George. We also made a stop at the Florida Aquarium. Unfortunately, most of the family got COVID and spent a week or so being sick from that. We did get to celebrate Christmas with the Lebedevs and Nana and Granddaddy just not on Christmas day.
  • This summer you went to youth camp with the Wreck, to FSU piano camp, and we went to North Carolina with friends. We also spent a couple days at Aquatica in Orlando.
  • When we got back from North Carolina we went to the doctor for some symptoms you were having and you ended up having to be in the hospital for about 24 hours. They think it was a virus that turned into an infection but thankfully you're feeling much better!
  • For your birthday this year, you and a few friends are going to an Escape Room.
  • You've grown and matured so much this year. You are still so full of joy and keep us laughing. You still love schedules, calendars, and everything being in it's right place. You don't procrastinate, you just get things done. I like that I don't have to stay on you about tasks- you remember what to do and do it. You're very smart but you also work very hard. You study a lot and are good at helping your friends with their studying also.  You are responsible, respectful, and kind. You have a great group of friends and are just a very likeable guy! Thanks for making us laugh, for bringing so much joy to our lives, and just for being you!
