Getting to know you....

Got this from a friend's blog and thought I would play along. The first goes like this:

My folders are combined with ones from Tom so I started with the folders since I moved in and this is what I landed on. Unfortunately not a good picture. But this was when we borrowed some friend's kayaks and went kayaking out in the lagoon. It was about this time last year and it was a beautiful day- we saw lots of little jellyfish too! That's Tom out in the distance. Oh and I just rememberd I cut my finger somehow while kayaking. Also,we went and looked at the really big houses on the water. What fun!

And now the other is a set of get to know you questions:

What was your favorite birthday? - Oh geeze, I have no idea! I LOVE birthdays so I have loved almost all my birthdays. And I've had so many friends make so many of them special! I love scavenger hunts and one time in college my friends made up a birthday scavenger hunt for me- it was awesome! This past birthday, Bethany was just a few weeks old. Tom's parents babysat so we could go out and a bunch of friends joined us for dessert. That was fun!

What is your favorite way to spend a day off? - Well, now that I am a mom I am rarely "off work". But I love to be with friends, wander around shops, swim, go to movies, take naps.

What is the best song to turn up all the way and sing to? - I am embarassed to say that it is a song from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack!

What television show will cause you to ignore your roommate/spouse/children/phone until the next commercial? - I watch almost everything after we have recorded it or online and we have a pause button for shows, so you can interrupt me. No big deal!

When was the last time you cursed at the tv? - No cursing recently but I have yelled for things that have happend on Grey's....

If you have kids, what are you most likely to let your kids get away with when you're tired? - She's really not old enough to answer this question. But I know I put her in the swing more when I am tired.

Aside from major milestones, what is your best moment to date? - Aside from major milestones? That's hard! On one of my very first dates with Tom he held my hand for the first time and I looked at him and said, "I really like you". And that was a sweet moment. Too mushy? Sorry... Here's more! Every morning when I go in Bethy's room and she smiles at me, there's just nothing better!

Are you an extrovert or introvert? How do you know? - I'm pretty sure I'm an extrovert even though I am sometimes shy. But I crave being around people! I can't stand to be alone for too long. Bethany and I make lots of outings because staying home all day alone would drive me crazy. Now, if I am in a place where I know no one I can still be uncomfortable but don't feel exhausted by the interactions. People energize me and that's how I know.

It was fun to read your answers - I yell at Grey's sometimes too, like when they bring two year old characters back from the dead instead of moving on with the storyline. :)

Your little girl is so cute. She's perfectly round. =) When was she born? Are she and Silas (who is 5 months old) the same age?

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
