She's 4!!!




  • She's talkative (although we've been told she is much quiter at school), energetic, and intelligent.
  • Commonly heard phrases ,"Hey, can I tell you somethin'?", "What means ______?" (asking definitition of a word), "Let's pack up" (she likes to pack suitcases and go on imaginary trips), "My pets......" (she has a world of imaginary "pets" including penguins, polor bears, etc.).
  • She knows so many Bible stories, I think she's ready for seminary.
  • She is shy around new adults but friendly with kids her age.
  • She likes to pick out her own outfits and has a Punky Brewster type style.
  • She loves to play with baby dolls, color, paint, and throw "parties".
  • She is in gymnastics and just moved up a level to Hot Shots.
  • She is learning how to swim this summer.
  • She wants to marry her friend Nathan, be a Momma, and have 2 kids. She thinks Nathan will work on houses and go to the bank. She wants to adopt one of her babies from China. Some days she thinks maybe she will be a fireman too.
  • She is already a little perfectionist and doesn't like to do things she can't do well.
  • She is currently scared of the dark and animals in the woods that might hurt her.
  • Like her Momma, she wears her emotions on her sleeve. If she's happy you'll know it, and if she doesn't like something you'll know it.
  • Her favorite color is pink.
  • Her favorite foods are chicken and fries, pizza, fruit, salad, corn on the cob, green beans, shrimp, and chocolate.
  • She likes Disney princesses and is having a Mermaid birthday party.
  • She likes to ride bikes, swim, and play on the playground.
She is a joy to be around. There is never a dull moment and she will keep you on your toes! We love her and are thankful for 4 great years!! Happy Birthday Sweet baby girl!

What a fun post! Happy birthday to your sweet girl! We hear a lot of "Can I tell you something?" from our 4-year-old too. And I love that she has her future so well planned out!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
