And a half....

Little man is 4 and a half today!!! I like to celebrate the half birthday with half a cupcake for the kids. Life is worth celebrating and when you're an itty bitty, the half is important too!

So here's what it's like to be Caleb as a 4 and a 1/2 year old:

1. He's about 40.5 inches tall
2. He weighs about 38  pounds.
3. He is in preK and goes 5 days a week.
4. He likes Curious George and anything having to do with the Cars movie.
5. He continues to love Ipad and computer.
6. He can read all of Bethany's kindergarten sight words plus some and he's becoming a great speller also.
7. He's a pretty good eater but still prefers carbs (cereal and crackers especially) or anything else. And the boy LOVES to eat!
8. He is in Tiny Tots in gymnastics and has really gained a lot of strength and balance. At home, he likes to pretend he is the gymnastics teacher.
9. His vocabulary grows almost every day and his words are becoming clearer also.
10. We think he might be ready to give up his nap but I am in denial of this....
11. He really loves books and likes to try and say the words.
12. He always volunteers to pray before meals and I am sure that God is laughing at his silliness during prayers.
13. Speaking of silliness, this is one seriously silly kid. I think he may have a future in comedy. Even with his limited vocabulary, he still finds ways to make words be funny. His current joke is saying "Good morning Mom" to Tom each day and "Good morning Dad" to me. He loves to make silly faces. He will get cracked up about something and just start to giggle and giggle!
14. Bethy and Caleb certainly have their difficult moments, but in general they get along well. Caleb LOVES his big sister and wants to do whatever she does. He usually tells people he's 5 since Bethy is 5 and he wants to be like her.
15. He loves taking pictures with his camera, loves to swing outside, likes to color and put together puzzles, and his favorite is being tickled!

I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 years since we met him! At the same time, I can't imagine life without him. He is a bright ray of sunshine in our life. He works so hard and has triumphed over so much! It's a joy to watch him grow and continue to blossom into the boy God created him to be.
