Happy 13th Birthday Bethany!!
  • You are 59 inches tall.
  • You finished the 7th grade- you did half the year virtual school and went back to in person in January. 




  • You made all As and were in Jr. Beta, Pre-Sail, and FCA. You were elected Jr. Beta Treasurer for this coming school year. Your favorite subject is math. 

  • This was your second year playing french horn and you started taking lessons this year which has helped you really grow as a musician. You will be playing with the HS marching band this fall so you are learning mellophone (the marching version of french horn) and made it through band camp this summer. 


  • You were in Odyssey of the Mind this year and your team competed virtually in the state and world competition. 
  • You took tumbling and gymnastics classes all year and you continue to love that!
  • You went through Confirmation during 6th grade, but due to the pandemic, your actual Confirmation was postponed until this year. It was exciting to finally celebrate it!



  • You still want to be a rocket scientist (aeronautical engineer) when you grow up and enjoyed watching launches on TV this year. 
  • You love to ride your bike and scooter, swim, and geocache. 
  • You love lego, crafts, and designing and building houses on Roblox.
  • You love to read and prefer fantasy adventure books. 
  • Your favorite foods are watermelon, chick fil a, and pizza.
  • Your favorite animal is and will always be the ladybug and you love going to the zoo where you have a pass to do an animal encounter every visit. 
  • Trips and visits- We did several trips to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle George in Lakeland, you and Caleb went to choir camp with Grandma and also spent the week at their house doing all kinds of fun things while Mom and Dad were on vacation. We went with Nana and Granddaddy for a fun week in Georgia with extended family including going four wheeling and celebrating Granddaddy's birthday. The Lebedevs came to visit and we had fun with them and Nana and Granddaddy going out to eat, playing games, and going to the beach. Nana’s sister and brother-in-law came to visit and we had fun with them too! We went to North Carolina for a joint trip with our friends- we went white water rafting, gem mining, zip lining, hiking, and to sliding rock, and we played Mafia every night.
  • On our way home from our North Carolina trip you started feeling very badly- turns out, it was your appendix. So, on June 7th you had your appendix out! You have recovered very well but it did make for an interesting start to the summer!!
  • You're very adventurous, love the outdoors, and are always up for fun activities!

You are an absolute joy Bethany Grace! We can't believe you're already a teenager! You are kind, intelligent, hard working, creative, loving, helpful, inquisitive, genuine, and have a strong faith in God. You may be pint sized and quiet but everyone says that's your secret weapon- because there's nothing pint sized or quiet about the strength and determination you bring to things you care about! As you enter your teenage years, we pray you will continue to keep God at the center and follow His path for your life- with Him you will do great things!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. You were chosen to perform at the Bay Education Foundation Arts Alive fundraiser dinner.  You were selected as the pianist for the all county band ...

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
