  • You are 44.5ish inches tall and you weigh 49lbs of pure muscle (thank you gymnastics).
  • You had a great first grade year with Mrs. Williams. Your best friends in your class were Julianne, Anna, and Lauren.
  • You learned a lot this year and excel at math, science, and spelling. You've grown a lot in your reading skills and are great at comprehending what you read.
  • You won the "best listener" award for your class and you were the April student of the month.
  • You spent your free time this year in the developmental team for gymnastics and on the soccer field Saturday mornings. If all goes as planned, you'll go to a couple of gymnastics competitions this year and you could not be more excited about it! You're quite the athlete and you love a challenge.
  • Your favorite foods are pizza, fruit, chicken, spaghetti, and salad. You love ice cream with magic shell- just like Daddy. You like to eat pickles as a treat- just like Daddy. The big news this year was that you seem to have outgrown your milk allergy!!
  • You like Legos, baby dolls, playing games, and making art.
  • This year you were chosen for the elementary school art show and your elephant painting won third place for the first grade.
  • Your favorite animal is the lady bug and we even ordered lady bug larva this year and watched them change into lady bugs.
  • You are a great and very fast swimmer. You still like to play dolphins and you learned the pool game "categories" this year.
  • You are happiest outside or doing something active.
  • You love going to church and you love to talk about God and the Bible. You have told us that Jesus is in your heart. :)
  • We are thankful for how well you get along with your brother. You care for him so well and the two of you have a fun time together...most of the time.
  • You are logical and a thinker with lots of questions and deep conversations. You keep me on my toes and Daddy and you are very alike in the way you think.
  • You want to be a Momma and babysitter when you grow up. You briefly wanted to be a dentist until you decided you didn't want to put your hands in people's mouths. You tell me sometimes that you think being a Momma will be harder that you imagine. :)
  • You like Magic School Bus, Barney (you'll outgrow it one day I'm sure!), Franny's Feet, and Curious George. You like the movies Boxcar Children, Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka, and the Secret Garden.
  • You go to bed between 7-7:30 and wake up around 6:00. You're a great sleeper and you would love to sleep in, and do when you don't have school.
  • This year we read Charlotte's Web, The Trumpet of the Swan, and Stuart Little. We still read the Jesus Storybook Bible and you guys call it the God Book.
You are a precious gift to us and I especially love to watch you grow in your love for Christ and in your understanding of His love for us.  I love chatting with you and hearing your view on life and watching you and Daddy play makes me smile. You think things through and make decisions wisely considering what is best. Your laughter, kindness, joy, ambition, and wisdom are such a special part of our family and we are proud to call you our daughter.

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). There was no guarantee we would even receive a referral off the list, but we were hopeful. Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. You chose FSU for the third year. You were part of a masterclass with the Gulf Coast College Professors. You were chosen to perform at the Bay Education Foundation Arts Alive fundraiser dinner.  You were selected as the pianist for the all county band ...

Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen. You were section leader this year for band and had a solo in the marching show. You earned a superior at district and state solo and ensemble and another superior for a duet at district solo ensemble. You made 2nd chair all county.  You continued to be a part of the Teen Outreach Committee with St. Andrew Bay Estuary.
