Show Hope Shirts for Sale


Show Hope is "a ministry that enables individuals and communities to change the world for orphans by not only addressing a child’s need for food, shelter, care, and spiritual nourishment, but by also addressing the root issue for an orphan: the lack of a family." Show Hope was started by Steven and Marybeth Chapman who have adopted several children from China. Please check out the organization's website so that when people ask you about your shirt you can tell them what it means.

We decided to sell these shirts to allow our family and friends to be involved in the process and to raise awareness for adoption and orphan care. When you wear the shirt, we hope people will ask what it means. That gives you the opportunity to share about adoption and about orphans and how God calls us to care for them. The funds raised from this will go to the "orphange donation" portion of our adoption fees. We will be providing several thousand dollars worth of support to Caleb's orphanage so they can continue to provide care to children waiting for their forever families.

The shirt above is the only shirt we are selling and is the only fundraiser we will do for our adoption. The shirts are $25 each and we will make $15 per shirt. If you do not live in an area where we can deliver the shirt to you in person, we ask that you make a donation of $3-$5 to cover the cost of shipping. No pressure- we won't disown you as a friend if you don't buy one. But if you want one, here's what to do:

*If you are local, we will call or email you to arrange delivery.

2. Click on the donate button on the right side of this blog. We are asking for $25 per shirt. If you need the shirt shipped to you and would like to help defray the cost of shipping, add that cost on as well. And if you want to give us ONE MILLION DOLLARS, just type in a whole bunch of zeros with a one in front of them.
3. If you would rather send us a check, just email me and I'll give you our address.

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!!

Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You placed third in the state for the Beta Convention Math Competition. You started a countywide club called BAM (Bay Area Mathematicians).  You are in your 11th year of playing piano and were accepted into the University of Florida International Piano Festival with partial scholarship and the FSU Piano Institute. Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!

  Happy 17th Birthday Bethany!!! You are about 5'2" but really you're like 5'1.5"! Small but mighty! You finished your junior year of high school and are entering your SENIOR YEAR!!! You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma. You were part of a lot of clubs including one that you started called Kards for Kids that makes cards for kids in the hospital. You are also part of the SAIL program, AP Capstone, Mu Alpha Theta, Tri M, Science National Honor Society, National Honor Society, ASL Honor Society, and Next Gen.
