3 sleeps left

I found a shop with "free internet" on the island. Of course I will buy a little something to be nice. It's very frustrating not having access to internet and skype. At least I found a place to check today. It's very hard for me to not be able to write more often or to see Bethy. I am missing her a lot today.

Caleb has been a bit fussier today. He still needs to "do his business". We started giving him medicine to help with that. Hopefully he will feel better after that. He is VERY attached to Tom and never wants me to carry him. He screams if i try. He does like when i feed him and will play with me just fine. I expected this and it doesn't hurt my feelings too much. : ) We had our appointment at the US consulate today and everything was fine. They excused our paperwork error which saved us an extra appointment- we were very lucky!

We went to the playroom in the hotel and Caleb had a lot of fun in there. It's interesting to watch him because he definitely acts a lot younger than an almost two year old. We know that most of these experiences are brand new and he will catch up. 

It's been a pretty laid back day. It's our anniversary and I think we'll go out for a romantic dinner- just the three of us.  :) Tomorrow is a free day and we will be packing up to go on to Hong Kong for one night before flying home. I am having a good time but I can't wait to get home. On top of not having internet we are the only family from our agency here now. So, there hasn't been anybody for me to talk to which is hard. As you can tell, I am a bit homesick today. 

Jessica- Caleb and N will be great friends. Please tell N we need him to teach Caleb some signs. 

Joy- Caleb reminds us of L a bit in his facial expressions and in his calm demeanor.

Jean- The Chinese word for Grandmother on father's side is Nai Nai. Very fitting I would say!

Caleb loves the remote control, loves to hold any paperwork that looks important, enjoys the elevator ride, will get his shoes and yours for you if he wants to go out, likes car rides. It hadn't occurred to me that you'd be in Guangzhou without other Holt friends. That must be hard. I hope you'll get to see them all again before you go. And how hard not to be able to skype with your sweet girl at home. Can't wait to see your whole family together!

We knew all weeked that the new list was coming out on Monday night. I got more and more nervous as we got closer. By Tuesday morning, I was popping the pepto bismal chewables-heartburn which I have only had one other time (at the end of my pregnancy). Happy 16th Birthday Caleb!! You are close to 5'5" and still growing. You finished 10th grade, and continued to rock it, excelling in a very challenging set of classes! You passed three more AP classes and several dual enrollment courses as well.  You were in the SAIL (AP Program), AP Capstone Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society), ASL Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, and marching band. You had a very challenging academic course load but you soared and earned your AP Capstone diploma.
